When we moved to the Austin area in 2002, I wanted to learn more about our new home. So I joined the Williamson County Historical Commission. During the 1990s, it was one of the fastest growing counties in the United States. Williamson County lies along the Balcones Fault and just north of the more liberal Travis County. There's no other place quite like it.
